Where Can You Ride the Beetle?
According to the manufacturer, the Beetle holds EEC L6e type approval (light quadricycle category under EU Regulation 168/2013). It is not a regulated e-scooter under Ireland's 2024 e-scooter rules. Before using it on public roads in Ireland, check the registration, motor tax, insurance and licence requirements that apply to you — our team in Dublin is happy to talk you through it.
