Touring and trekking electric bikes are built for distance — bigger batteries, comfortable riding positions and the luggage capacity to explore the Waterford, Great Western and Royal Canal greenways. As a touring e-bike dealer in Ireland, Inner City Scooters stocks long-range trekking models that are all Cycle to Work Scheme eligible.

Touring & Trekking e-bikes — FAQs
Are these e-bikes road-legal in Ireland?
E-bikes with pedal assist limited to 25 km/h and a 250W-rated motor meet the EU pedelec standard and can be ridden on Irish roads without a licence, tax or insurance. Some models include a throttle — on public roads, ride using pedal assist only. Check each product page for the exact motor and throttle details.
Can I buy one through the Cycle to Work Scheme?
Yes. Our touring and trekking e-bikes are Cycle to Work Scheme eligible, so you can save roughly 30–52% through your employer — up to €1,500 for e-bikes and up to €3,000 for cargo e-bikes.
How far can a touring e-bike go on one charge?
It depends on battery size, assist level, terrain and rider weight. Check the range figure on each product page — real-world range is usually lower than the maximum quoted, so plan longer greenway rides with some margin.
Can I see these bikes in person?
Yes. Visit our showroom at Unit 19B, Fashion City, Ballymount, Dublin 24 (D24 YT68) to see the range, compare models and get expert advice before you buy.
Do the bikes arrive assembled?
Bikes are delivered boxed with minimal setup required, and ship across Ireland and the EU. In Dublin, an assembled, ready-to-ride delivery is available as a paid option on request.
