At 91kg, the Ultra Bee HP T combines a forged aluminium double-cradle frame with the full performance of the MY26 Ultra Bee platform. The PMSM motor is managed by Sur-Ron's MTPA/MTPV FOC controller, which keeps response smooth and predictable as output climbs. Sport mode gives 21.5kW, Turbo unlocks the full 24.5kW and 520 N·m at the rear wheel — 0–50km/h in 1.84 seconds, 0–80km/h in 3.7 seconds. A three-level adjustable throttle response lets you soften or sharpen the initial bite, which matters far more on wet Irish tarmac than it does on dirt.

A PMSM motor with MTPA/MTPV FOC control delivers 21.5kW in Sport and 24.5kW in Turbo, with 520 N·m at the rear wheel, a 95km/h top speed and 0–50km/h in 1.84 seconds.
Removable 74V 60Ah pack
The lithium-ion pack lifts out of the frame, so you can charge it indoors or in the office rather than leaving the bike plugged in. Up to 115km at a steady 50km/h.
Six riding modes
Eco, Daily, Sport, Crawl, Reverse and Turbo. Eco stretches the range for commuting, Crawl walks you through low-speed manoeuvring, and Reverse gets you out of a tight parking spot.
SWC, ASR and Auto Hold
Sur-Ron Wheelie Control, ASR traction control and Auto Hold add electronic assistance when you need it, backed by gyroscopic tilt protection, brake override and side-stand protection.
Fully adjustable suspension
240mm of front fork travel with compression and rebound adjustment, plus a fully adjustable 85mm rear shock — tuned for higher speeds and harder impacts on the MY26 platform.
Ten-level energy recovery
Five levels of coasting regeneration plus five levels of braking regeneration feed charge back to the pack and give you adjustable engine-braking feel — a real help in stop-start city traffic.
T-Box and the Sur-Ron app
T-Box connectivity for Android and iOS covers mode settings, ride history, battery status, remote electronic motor locking and over-the-air firmware updates.
Two colours
Riding it legally in Ireland
Because the HP T is a road legal, type-approved machine, it is treated as a motorcycle in Ireland rather than as a light electric vehicle. That means real paperwork, and a real licence.
- Registration and VRT. The bike is registered through an NCTS centre using its Certificate of Conformity, and Vehicle Registration Tax is paid at that point. Choose the Registered with Logbook option and we do this for you before delivery.
- Vehicle Registration Certificate. Once registered, the Department of Transport issues the logbook and the Irish registration number, and you fit number plates.
- Motor tax and insurance. Both are required before the bike goes on a public road, exactly as with a petrol motorcycle. Electric motorcycles sit in the lowest motor tax band.
- Licence. You need a motorcycle entitlement. For the 125cc-equivalent A1 class that is a category A1 learner permit plus 16 hours of Initial Basic Training with an approved IBT instructor. A category B car licence on its own does not allow you to ride it in Ireland, even though it does in some other EU countries.
- Gear. A helmet is a legal requirement. Proper motorcycle gloves, jacket, trousers and boots are not, but this bike reaches 95km/h — wear them.

Is the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee HP T road legal in Ireland?
Yes. The HP T is the road legal version of the MY26 Ultra Bee, supplied with a Certificate of Conformity, so it can be registered, taxed and insured for use on Irish public roads. It is treated as a motorcycle, not as a light electric vehicle, so it needs a registration number, motor tax, insurance and the correct licence entitlement — and a helmet is a legal requirement.
What is the difference between the HP T and the HP X?
They share the same 24.5kW platform, chassis and 74V 60Ah battery. The HP T is the road legal version, supplied with a Certificate of Conformity so it can be registered and ridden on public roads. The HP X is off-road only and cannot be registered or taxed. On a genuine HP T you will see mirrors, front and rear indicators, a number plate bracket, a horn and reflectors.
What is the difference between the unregistered and registered options?
Both are exactly the same bike in the same specification. The unregistered option at €6,995 comes with its Certificate of Conformity for you to book the NCTS appointment, pay the VRT and register it yourself. The registered option at €7,495 arrives already registered in Ireland with its VRT paid, its Irish registration number issued and its Vehicle Registration Certificate (logbook) supplied, so all you need to arrange is motor tax and insurance.
What licence do I need to ride it in Ireland?

What range and charging time can I expect?
The removable 74V 60Ah pack is rated at up to 115km at a steady 50km/h. Ridden hard in Sport and Turbo you should expect considerably less. The supplied 1000W smart charger takes it from 20% to 80% in about 2.5 hours through a new-generation high-current charging port. Because the pack lifts out, you can charge it indoors and leave the bike outside.
Who does it suit, and what is the seat height?
Seat height is 910mm and kerb weight is 91kg, with a carrying capacity of 100kg. It is a full-size motorbike, so it suits taller riders — roughly 1.75m and above will find it most comfortable flat-footed. It is genuinely fast, so newer riders should start in Eco or Daily with the softest throttle response and build up from there.
