Is the KuKirin A1 road-legal in Ireland?
No. Under Ireland's 2024 e-scooter rules, only e-scooters limited to 400 W and 20 km/h may be used on public roads. With an 800 W motor and a 45 km/h top speed, the A1 is above those limits, so it is intended for use on private land only. Please ride responsibly and check current local regulations.
What is the real-world range?
The A1 is rated at up to 42 km in ideal conditions. In real-world Irish riding — accounting for hills, rider weight, temperature and speed — expect roughly 30–35 km per charge.
How long does it take to charge?
A full charge takes approximately 7–8 hours from empty using the supplied charger. Many riders top up overnight.
Can I ride it in the rain?
The A1 carries an IP54 splash-resistance rating, so it handles light rain and splashes. It is not designed to be submerged or ridden through deep water — dry it down after wet rides.
