1. Agreement to Terms

By requesting and authorizing repairs from Inner City Scooters (“we,” “our,” or “us”), the customer (“you” or “the customer”) agrees to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all repair and maintenance services provided by us, regardless of whether the bike or scooter was originally purchased from us.

2. Limited Liability Disclaimer

While we take every precaution to ensure high-quality repair services, we cannot be held responsible for any damage, failure, or safety issues arising after a repair is completed in the following cases:

Non-Purchased Bikes & Scooters:

  • We are not liable for any damage or malfunctions occurring in bikes, e-bikes, or scooters that were not originally purchased from us.

Customized or Modified Bikes & Scooters:

  • We are not responsible for issues resulting from bikes or scooters that have been customized, modified, or altered outside of the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, modifications to the frame, motor, battery, braking system, or electronic components.

Pre-Existing Wear, Damage, or Defects:

  • We do not assume liability for failures, breakdowns, or further damage due to pre-existing wear and tear, structural weaknesses, or defects that existed before our repair services.

Improper Use & Lack of Maintenance:

  • We are not responsible for damages caused by improper use, accidents, neglect, or failure to perform routine maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
  • This includes using the bike or scooter in extreme conditions beyond the manufacturer’s intended use (e.g., off-road use on city commuter models).

Third-Party Repairs & Parts:

  • We are not liable for any failures or issues that arise from the use of third-party replacement parts, accessories, or repairs performed by other service providers after our repairs have been completed.
  1. Battery & Electrical System Issues:
  • We do not accept liability for damage or hazards caused by batteries, electrical systems, or charging components that are aged, improperly maintained, or not sourced from an authorized manufacturer or supplier.

3. Customer Acknowledgment & Agreement

By proceeding with a repair service at Innercityscooters, you explicitly acknowledge and accept that:

  • You have read and understood this Repair Service Terms & Conditions policy.
  • You agree not to hold us liable for any post-repair issues covered in Section 2.
  • You take full responsibility for ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation of your bike, e-bike, or scooter after repairs are completed.
  • If you have modified your bike/scooter, you must disclose this information before service begins.

4. Warranty on Repairs

We may provide a limited warranty on specific repairs, which will be outlined on your service invoice. However, this warranty does not cover failures caused by any of the conditions listed in Section 2.

Appointment Booking Fee

The appointment booking fee is €5, which secures your time slot and ensures smooth scheduling.

Prefer to walk in without an appointment? The fee is €10.

Pickup and Delivery

If you’d like to arrange pickup and delivery of your scooter or bike, please include your address details in the appointment form.

Important Notes:

  • Please book at least 24 hours in advance
  • Available only within the Dublin area
  • Cost: €15 for pickup and €15 for delivery
  • Typical collection/delivery window: 2 PM to 5 PM
  • Our team will contact you to confirm the timing
Additional Information

• Why We Require a Deposit: To minimise no-shows and manage availability for all customers.
• Flexible Rescheduling: You can reschedule by contacting us in advance.
• No-Show Policy: Deposits are non-refundable for missed appointments or late cancellations.

Bike & Scooter Assembly – €50

Leave the assembly to the experts! Our professional team will ensure your bike or scooter is assembled safely and correctly, so you can enjoy a hassle-free ride.

What’s Included:

• Full assembly of your bike or scooter according to manufacturer specifications.

• Secure tightening and adjustment of all components, including brakes, handlebars, and tires.

• Safety checks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

At Inner City Scooters, we have a clear policy regarding the collection of electric scooters and bikes following a repair. Once the repair work on your electric scooter or bike is completed, we will notify you promptly that it is ready for collection. This notification may be sent via SMS, email, or phone, depending on the contact information you have provided.

After we notify you, you will have up to one week to collect your scooter or bike from our shop. If the scooter or bike is not collected within this initial one-week period, we will continue to store it for an additional two weeks. However, please note that during this extended storage period, a fee of €2 per day will apply.

If, after the total three-week period (one week for collection plus two additional weeks of paid storage), the scooter or bike remains uncollected, it will be considered abandoned. In such cases, we reserve the right to dispose of the scooter or bike in accordance with our policy. We encourage customers to collect their items promptly to avoid additional charges or potential disposal.
