How to Assemble & Use the Fiido T3
Is the Fiido T3 Road Legal in Ireland?
Yes. The Fiido T3 is a 250W pedal-assist e-bike with assistance that cuts out at 25km/h and no throttle, so it meets the EU pedelec (EPAC) standard and is treated like a regular bicycle in Ireland: no road tax, insurance or licence needed. Ride on roads and cycle lanes as you would any bike, and always wear a helmet and use lights in poor visibility.

FAQ about the Fiido T3 Family Cargo E-Bike
Is the Fiido T3 road legal in Ireland?
Yes. The Fiido T3 has a 250W motor whose assistance cuts out at 25km/h, so it meets the EU pedelec (EPAC) standard and is treated like a normal bicycle in Ireland. No tax, insurance or licence is needed. It has no throttle, only pedal-assist and a 6km/h walk-assist button.
What range does the Fiido T3 get?
Fiido rates the T3 at up to 187km per charge from its 36V 972Wh battery. Fiido's own flat-terrain testing with an 85kg rider recorded 187km in Eco, 159km in Sport and 130km in Turbo. Expect less with a full family load, hills, wind and cold Irish weather.
How long does the battery take to charge?
The T3 ships with a 36V 2A charger, so a full charge of the 972Wh battery from empty takes roughly 13 to 14 hours. Top-ups take far less. The battery is removable, so you can charge it indoors away from the bike.
Can I ride the Fiido T3 in the rain?
Yes. The whole bike is IP54 rated against dust and splashing water, so wet Dublin roads and showers are fine. Do not submerge it or jet-wash it, and dry the battery contacts after very wet rides.
Can I fit a child seat or trailer?
Yes. The T3 carries up to 150kg and has front and rear cargo space. Fiido recommends a rear child seat 17 to 20cm wide from brands such as Bobike, Thule or OGK. For trailers, the 11.8mm rear axle suits a 12.5 to 13mm hitch hole up to 5mm thick, and the trailer wheel must be smaller than the bike wheel.
Will it fit my height, and does it fold?
The adjustable seat and handlebars fit riders from 155cm to 200cm, seat height runs from 780 to 1070mm and the low-step frame makes it easy to get on and off. The T3 is foldable for storage and lifts, and weighs 33kg with the battery.
What is the difference between the Fiido T3 and T3 Max?
The T3 is the more compact model with a 150kg payload, easier to store indoors or take into a lift. The T3 Max has a longer rear rack, a 200kg payload, dual-battery capability and portable power output. The T3's 972Wh battery can be used as the extender battery on a T3 Max.
How long does delivery take in Ireland?
Inner City Scooters delivers across Ireland and the EU. In-stock bikes usually ship within 1 to 3 working days with tracking, and you can also collect or see the bike at our Dublin 24 showroom in Ballymount.
What warranty and payment options are there?
Fiido covers the whole T3 for 24 months, excluding consumable parts. At Inner City Scooters you can spread the cost with instalment options at checkout, and as a cargo e-bike the T3 can be bought through the Bike to Work scheme. We also service and repair Fiido e-bikes in Dublin.
