Innovation from the ground up
Designed from the ground up and weighing in at just 12 kg, the Amped A20 is light enough for a young rider to control and for a parent to lift into the boot. It is the perfect way to introduce throttle control and balance on a full 20 inch bike, and a natural step up from smaller balance bikes.
6-spoke alloy wheels
Amped chose 6 aluminium spoke alloy wheels for the A20. These 20 inch composite-reinforced wheels are both strong and light, so there are no spokes to tension or replace.
2 speed settings: Eco and Boost
Whether you want to prioritise ride time or power, the A20 has you covered. Start in Eco while your rider learns, then switch to Boost once they are in full control:

- Boost: up to about 32 km/h (19.8 mph)
Lightweight aluminium frame
Keeping weight down benefits both efficiency and the rider experience. The TIG-welded aluminium frame helps both speed and range while keeping the bike easy for younger riders to control.
Powerful 300W hub drive
The integrated rear hub motor gives almost instant power delivery with less drag and no noise, and with 28 Nm of torque it has plenty of pull for a bike this light.

Is the Amped A20 road legal in Ireland?
No. The A20 is a throttle-powered kids' electric balance bike, not a pedal-assist e-bike, so it is not road-legal in Ireland. Ride it only on private land or suitable off-road areas, never on public roads, footpaths or cycle lanes, and always under adult supervision.
What age is the Amped A20 suitable for?
Amped recommends it for riders aged roughly 7 to 12+, at parents' discretion, taking height, weight and skill into account. Your rider should be able to touch the ground with both feet when seated. Bring them to our Dublin store to check the fit.
How fast does it go?
There are two speed modes: Eco, limited to about 15 km/h, and Boost, up to about 32 km/h. Start in Eco and only switch to Boost once your rider is fully in control, wearing a helmet and protective gear.
What battery does the A20 use?
A 36V 5.0Ah lithium battery powering a 300W rear hub motor. Ride time depends on rider weight, terrain and the speed mode used; Eco mode stretches it furthest.
Can the A20 be ridden in the rain?
No. Amped states the A20 is not suitable for wet conditions, so keep it to dry days, avoid puddles and never pressure-wash it. Store it indoors and dry it off if it gets damp.
What is the difference between the A20 and A20 Pro?
The A20 is the lighter, gentler option: 300W motor, two modes up to about 32 km/h, 12 kg and 6-spoke alloy wheels. The Amped A20 Pro steps up to an 800W motor, three modes up to 45 km/h, a 36V 10Ah battery, hydraulic brakes, an 80 mm hydraulic fork and fat Kenda tyres.
What warranty does the Amped A20 have?
Amped covers the A20 for 6 months against manufacturing defects (parts only), and Inner City Scooters provides after-sales support and servicing from our Dublin workshop.
