Engwe EP-2 Pro Folding Fat-Tyre Electric Bike
The Engwe EP-2 Pro is a versatile folding fat-tyre electric bike built for city commuting and off-road adventures alike. In its road-legal pedal-assist (pedelec) mode it assists up to 25 km/h, while a removable 48V 13Ah battery delivers a range of up to 120 km in pedal-assist. With 20″ × 4.0″ all-terrain fat tyres, a lockable front suspension fork, front & rear disc brakes, a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and a fully foldable frame, handlebars and pedals, the EP-2 Pro is easy to ride and easy to store — and it's Bike-to-Work scheme eligible. Available in Orange, Gray and Black from Inner City Scooters in Dublin, Ireland.
Longer Range Than Its Competitors
Up to 120 km on a Charge
The 48V 13Ah removable lithium battery delivers up to 120 km in pedal-assist (around 35% further than typical rivals), or roughly 50–60 km in pure electric mode. Three riding modes — classic pedal, pedal-assist and electric — let you choose your effort.
Off-Road Ready
A lockable front suspension fork soaks up the bumps so you can take on sand, dirt, snow and gravel with confidence — then lock it out for efficient road riding.
20″ × 4.0″ All-Terrain Fat Tyres
Wide, grippy fat tyres give a stable, cushioned ride across trails, roads and rough ground alike.
Foldable & Portable
The frame, handlebars and pedals all fold, shrinking the EP-2 Pro to roughly 99 × 55 × 76 cm for car boots, hallways and storage.
Front & Rear Disc Brakes
Mechanical disc brakes front and rear give reliable, all-weather stopping power.
Shimano 7-Speed
A Shimano 7-speed drivetrain plus 5 pedal-assist levels adapt smoothly to hills and flats.
6061 Aluminium Frame
A lightweight, durable 6061 aluminium-alloy frame keeps the bike strong yet manageable at ~30 kg.
Safety Meets Illumination
Seen From Every Angle
A bright LED headlight, brake-light indicator and reflective tyre stripe keep you visible to traffic on darker Irish evenings.

FAQ about the Engwe EP-2 Pro
Is the Engwe EP-2 Pro available on the Bike-to-Work scheme?
Yes. The Engwe EP-2 Pro is eligible for Ireland's Cycle to Work / Bike-to-Work scheme, letting you save on the cost through your employer (tax-free, repaid from gross salary). Just ask your employer to set up the purchase with us — we'll provide the invoice you need.
Is the Engwe EP-2 Pro road-legal in Ireland?
Ridden in pedal-assist (pedelec) mode with assistance cutting off at 25 km/h, the EP-2 Pro is treated like a bicycle in Ireland — no tax, insurance or licence required — and it is Bike-to-Work eligible. We recommend pedal-assist on public roads; the throttle and any unlocked higher-speed mode are best kept to private land. Always wear a helmet and check current local regulations.
What is the real-world range?
The EP-2 Pro is rated up to 120 km in pedal-assist and 50–60 km in pure electric mode. In real-world Irish riding — hills, rider weight, weather and assist level — expect roughly 60–90 km in pedal-assist.
How long does it take to charge?
The removable 48V 13Ah battery takes about 6–7 hours to charge from empty. You can charge it on or off the bike, including indoors.
Does it really fold, and how big is it folded?
Yes — the frame, handlebars and pedals all fold, bringing it down to roughly 99 × 55 × 76 cm so it fits in a car boot or a hallway. It weighs about 30 kg.
Can I ride it in the rain?
The EP-2 Pro carries an IPX4 rating, so it handles light rain and splashes. It is not designed to be submerged or ridden through deep water — dry it down after wet rides.
How long is the delivery time?
We typically dispatch within 1–2 working days, with delivery across Ireland usually arriving in around 2–3 working days. You can also collect in-store in Dublin.
What warranty is available, and can you service it in Dublin?
The EP-2 Pro comes with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects (extendable), and instalment / pay-later options are available at checkout. Our Dublin workshop services and repairs the Engwe EP-2 Pro and stocks common spare parts.
