Two batteries, a full week of commuting

The B9 carries two independent removable lithium packs for a combined 48V 33.8Ah, which is where its 90km rated range comes from. Both packs lift out and lock, so you can charge them indoors, run one on the daily commute and keep the second in reserve, or take the spare with you on a long weekend run. A full charge takes roughly 8-9 hours.

250W motor, tuned for Irish and EU roads

A 250W brushless rear hub motor gives smooth, progressive acceleration and efficient power delivery on city streets and cycle lanes, with assistance cutting off at 25km/h so the bike stays inside EU pedelec rules. Three riding modes and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain let you match effort to the terrain, and the bike still rides normally with a flat battery.

Hydraulic disc brakes with motor cut-off

The B9 runs hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with a power cut-off switch, so the motor stops the instant you touch a lever. Lighter lever effort, better modulation and consistent bite in the wet, which all matter on a 43kg bike carrying a passenger or a loaded basket.

Fat tyres and a suspension fork for broken tarmac

A telescopic front suspension fork soaks up potholes, kerbs and tram lines, and 20"x4.0" off-road air fat tyres spread the load so canal towpaths, loose gravel, sand and rough city surfaces all stop being a reason to slow down.

Colour LCD display, everything in view

A high-resolution colour LCD display puts speed, battery level, riding mode, trip distance and system status in front of you in real time, so you always know how much range is left before you commit to the long way home.

Hidoes B9 LED headlight, indicators and rear brake light illuminated at night

A full lighting system, not an afterthought

A bright LED headlight, front and rear turn signals and a rear brake light come fitted from the factory. On dark Irish winter evenings that is the difference between being seen and being guessed at, and it means no bolting on extras before your first commute.

Built to carry, not just to ride

The large front basket takes shopping, tools or a bag without a rack conversion, the extended split seat carries a passenger or doubles as cargo space, and the rear rack handles the rest. With a 150kg maximum load and IP54 water resistance, the B9 is a year-round working bike rather than a fair-weather one.

More to love

Shimano 7-speed

A proper geared drivetrain, so steep climbs and fast flats both work, and the bike still rides well with a flat battery.

IP54 weather rating

Sealed for everyday rain and road spray, so it stays in use through an Irish winter rather than parked up.

EU pedelec compliant

250W with assistance cutting off at 25km/h, meeting the EPAC standard used across Ireland and the EU.

Lockable batteries

Both packs are key-locked to the frame and lift out in seconds for indoor charging or overnight security.

Three riding modes

Switch between assist levels to trade top-end punch for range depending on the ride ahead.

Serviced in Dublin

Bought from a real Irish shop. We stock parts and service what we sell from our Ballymount showroom.

FAQ about the Hidoes B9 Dual Battery Electric Bike

Is the Hidoes B9 road legal in Ireland?

Yes, when ridden as a pedelec. The EU version has a 250W motor with assistance cutting off at 25km/h, which meets the EPAC standard, so it is treated as a bicycle in Ireland with no tax, insurance or licence needed. You must be pedalling for the motor to assist, and we recommend keeping to pedal-assist on public roads.

Why does the B9 have two batteries?

The two packs are independent and give 48V 33.8Ah combined, which is where the 90km rated range comes from. Both lock to the frame and lift out with a key, so you can charge them indoors, alternate them across the week, or carry the spare on a longer run and swap over at the halfway point.

Will I really get 90km from a charge?

90km is the manufacturer figure for both batteries in low pedal assist under ideal conditions. In real Irish riding, expect noticeably less if you are carrying a passenger or a full basket, riding into wind, using high assist, tackling hills or riding in cold weather. Even so, the dual pack comfortably covers a week of ordinary commuting between charges.

How long do the batteries take to charge?

Around 8-9 hours for a full charge from the supplied 54.6V 2.0A charger. Both packs are removable, so you can bring them indoors and charge one after the other, or add a second charger to do both overnight. Ask us about a spare charger when ordering.

Can I ride it in the rain?

Yes. The B9 is rated IP54, which covers normal rain and road spray. Do not jet wash it or submerge it, dry the contacts if it has been soaked, and store the batteries somewhere dry.

How much does it weigh and can it carry a passenger?

The bike weighs 43kg, so it is not one to carry up stairs. The extended split seat is designed to take a second rider or cargo, within a 150kg total load including rider, passenger and any luggage. It does not fold.

What rider height does the B9 suit?

Hidoes recommends riders between roughly 170cm and 210cm. If you are shorter than that, come and sit on one in the showroom before you order, or talk to us about a lower-standover model.

How fast is delivery in Ireland and the EU?

We deliver nationwide across Ireland, usually within a few working days of dispatch, and ship across the EU. You can also collect from our showroom at Unit 19B, Fashion City, Ballymount Road Upper, Dublin 24.

What warranty and aftercare do I get?

The B9 carries a 1 year warranty on core components. We are an Irish shop with a physical premises, so servicing, spare parts and repairs are handled by our own workshop in Dublin rather than sent back overseas.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. We offer instalment payment options at checkout, and we run a deposit scheme for customers who want to reserve a bike ahead of time. Contact us and we will walk you through the options.
