FAQ about the Fiido Nomads Electric Bike
Is the Fiido Nomads road-legal in Ireland?
Yes. The Nomads is a 250 W pedal-assist (pedelec) e-bike with assistance cutting off at 25 km/h and no throttle, meeting the EU EPAC standard — so in Ireland it's treated like a normal bicycle, with no tax, insurance or licence required.
How far can it really go?
Up to 79 km in ECO mode on the standard 417.6 Wh battery. With the optional triple-battery system you can extend range to around 238 km — ideal for touring. Real-world range depends on terrain, weight and assist level.
What's the difference between the Standard and Extender versions?
The Standard comes with one battery (up to 79 km). The Extender adds the modular extra batteries and weatherproof bags to reach up to 238 km. Both come in Medium and Large frame sizes.
How long does it take to charge?
Roughly 6–8 hours per battery, and each battery is removable so you can charge indoors.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. The Nomads is IP54-rated, so it handles Irish rain and splashes. Avoid deep water and dry it down after wet rides.
What rider height does it suit?
It comes in two frame sizes — Medium suits roughly 165–190 cm and Large roughly 175–205 cm — with an adjustable seat post and handlebar stem.
Is it available on the Bike to Work scheme?
Yes — the Fiido Nomads is eligible under the Bike to Work scheme. We deliver across Ireland (typically 2–3 working days) or you can collect in-store in Dublin.
What warranty and servicing do you offer?
The Nomads comes with a 1-year warranty, and our Dublin workshop can service and repair it locally.
