Seven Best-Selling Electric Scooters for a Dublin Summer (2026): Which One's for You?

Seven Best-Selling Electric Scooters for a Dublin Summer (2026): Which One's for You?

The evenings are long, the roads are dry, and there's no better time in Dublin to swap the bus for two wheels and a throttle. Every summer we get the same lovely problem here at Inner City Scooters: someone walks in, points at the wall of scooters, and asks, "Right, which one is the best?" And the honest answer is always the same — it depends on you. The best scooter for a five-minute hop to the DART isn't the best scooter for a long spin out along the coast, and neither of those is the beast a bigger rider wants for taking on a steep hill without breaking a sweat.

So instead of crowning one winner, we've done what we do behind the counter every day: matched the scooter to the rider. Below are seven of our genuine best-sellers this season, each with its own "best for" angle. All prices are current, all specs are real, and every one of them is sitting in the shop in Ballymount right now if you'd rather have a look before you buy.

At a glance: seven best-sellers, seven kinds of rider

Have a read through, and if you're still torn, that's grand — that's exactly what we're here for. Call in to us or drop us a message and we'll steer you right.

Kugoo KuKirin G2 Pro — best value all-rounder

Kugoo KuKirin G2 Pro electric scooter in the Inner City Scooters shop in Dublin

If you asked us to pick one scooter that does most things well for most people, it's this one — and the sales figures agree, because the Kugoo KuKirin G2 Pro is our steady best-seller year after year. At €509 it sits at the sensible end of the range, but there's nothing budget about the way it rides. A 600W motor is plenty of punch for pulling away from the lights, the 48V 15Ah battery is good for up to 58km on a charge, and the whole thing feels planted rather than twitchy.

It's the one we point first-time buyers towards, and the one plenty of seasoned commuters keep coming back for. If you want a scooter that just works, day in and day out, without spending a fortune, the G2 Pro is a doddle to recommend.

KuKirin M4 Max — best for a light, nippy commute

Some people don't need a heavyweight — they need something that folds up neat, tucks away in the hall, and gets them across town without any fuss. That's the KuKirin M4 Max all over. At €599 you get an 800W motor, a 48V 18Ah battery good for around 64km, 10-inch tyres and a proper four-arm shock setup, so it soaks up Dublin's kerbs and potholes better than you'd expect from a scooter this tidy.

Fold it down of an evening and you've your hallway back. It's the sensible pick for anyone whose day involves a bit of carrying, a lift up the stairs, or a hop on and off the Luas.

Kugoo KuKirin G2 Max — best for distance and a comfy seat

When the commute gets longer, range starts to matter, and the Kugoo KuKirin G2 Max has it in spades. A bigger 48V 20Ah battery stretches to around 80km, the 1000W motor will happily haul you up a 30-degree gradient, and there's a detachable seat included — a lovely touch if your legs get tired on a longer haul. Dual disc brakes and a four-arm suspension keep it all comfortable and composed.

At €699 it's the one we suggest for the rider whose trip is a proper journey rather than a quick nip. Fit the seat, take the scenic route home, and enjoy the summer while it lasts.

Kugoo KuKirin G4 Off-Road — best for rough ground and bigger tyres

Now we're getting into the serious end of the shop. The Kugoo KuKirin G4 Off-Road is built for riders who want big chunky 11-inch off-road tyres under them and a good deal more power — a 2000W motor, a 48V 20Ah battery for up to 75km, and a top speed of 70km/h. It's a machine with real presence, and a favourite with larger riders who want something that doesn't feel stretched.

A quick and important word, though: a scooter like this is far more powerful than Ireland's on-road limits allow. On public roads it should be kept in its restricted, road-legal setting (more on that below), with the full beans saved for private land. If you're not sure how to set it, no bother — we'll sort it for you in the shop.

Ausom DT2 Pro — best for something a bit different

Not everyone wants a KuKirin, and the Ausom DT2 Pro is our answer for the rider who fancies a bit of character. It's a dual-motor machine — twin 1100W motors, 2200W in total and peaking higher again — running off a 52V battery that'll stretch to a genuinely long range on an easy setting. With a 135kg maximum load it's one of the sturdiest options we stock, and it still tips the scales at a manageable weight for its size.

At €999 it's a lot of scooter for the money, and being a bit less common on Dublin streets, it's got a look of its own. Like the other powerful models here, it's one to ride in its road-legal mode on public roads and open right up only on private land.

Kugoo KuKirin G3 Pro — best for hills and pure grunt

If your daily route laughs in the face of lesser scooters — steep climbs, heavy loads, the works — the Kugoo KuKirin G3 Pro is the one that shrugs and gets on with it. Twin 1200W motors, a big 52V 23Ah battery good for up to 80km, and a claimed 35-degree climbing ability mean hills simply stop being a problem. The 10-inch off-road tyres and dual suspension keep it comfortable even when you're pushing on.

At €1,199 it's a proper performance scooter, and one of the most capable machines on the floor. Same rule applies as with the other high-power models: road-legal setting for public roads, full power for private land, and a chat with us if you've any doubt.

Rovoron R7 Pro — best top-of-the-range flagship

Rovoron R7 Pro flagship dual-motor electric scooter

And at the very top of the range sits the Rovoron R7 Pro, our flagship dual-motor scooter for the rider who simply wants the best we've got. Twin 900W motors (1800W nominal, peaking to 3000W) draw from a large 60V battery that'll go up to 110km on a charge. Front and rear spring suspension make it a supremely comfortable ride, and everything about it feels a cut above.

At €1,499 it's an investment, no question, but it's the scooter people buy when they want to buy once and buy well. As with all our more powerful models, keep it in its restricted mode on the public road and enjoy the full performance where it's legal to do so.

A quick word on Irish e-scooter law

Since the rules came in for private e-scooters, the position on Irish public roads is straightforward: a scooter used on the road must be limited to a 400W motor and a maximum of 20km/h. Anything more powerful than that — and, as you'll have noticed, most of the scooters above are — is grand for private land, but on the public road it needs to be ridden in its road-legal, speed-limited setting. Most of these models have exactly that setting built in, and we're always happy to set it up for you before you leave the shop. Riders also need to be 16 or over, and it's sensible (and safer) to wear a helmet.

None of that should put you off. It just means picking the right mode for where you're riding, and if any of it is unclear, ask us — we deal with this every single day and we'll give you a straight answer.

Paying for it, and where to find us

Every scooter here comes with a 1-year limited warranty, and because we service what we sell right here in Dublin, you're never stuck if something needs a look. Plenty of our scooters qualify for the Bike to Work scheme too, which can take a healthy chunk off the price if your employer takes part — well worth asking about. And if you'd rather spread the cost, we offer Humm and Klarna instalments so you can ride away now and pay over time.

You'll find us at Fashion City, Ballymount, Dublin, with the full range on display and the kettle usually on. If you can't make it in, that's no bother at all — we deliver right across Ireland, so wherever you are, we'll get your new scooter to your door.

One last thing: scooters are only half of what we do. If two wheels and a bit of pedalling is more your style, have a look at our electric bike range as well — we're also the official (and only) stockist of Pixar electric bikes in Ireland, with genuine bikes, a real warranty, and servicing here in Dublin. However you like to get about this summer, we've something with your name on it.
