FAQ about the Fiido T2 Longtail Cargo Bike
Is the Fiido T2 road-legal in Ireland?
Yes, ridden in pedal-assist (pedelec) mode. Limited to 250 W-equivalent assistance cutting off at 25 km/h, it meets the EU EPAC standard and is treated like a bicycle in Ireland — no tax, insurance or licence required. Any higher-power or throttle mode is for private land only.
How much can it carry?
The T2 has a 200 kg total payload capacity and an extended longtail rear rack, so it can carry children, cargo or a passenger with the right accessories.
How far can it go on one charge?
Up to 110 km from the 998.4 Wh battery (Fiido rates up to 136 km). With a load and hills, expect closer to 70–80 km — as a couple of reviewers note, range drops a little when fully loaded, which is normal.
How long does it take to charge?
Roughly 6–7 hours for a full charge, and the battery is removable so you can charge it indoors.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. The T2 is IP54-rated, so it handles Irish rain and splashes. Avoid deep water and dry it down after wet rides.
What rider height does it suit, and can I carry passengers?
It fits riders from roughly 155 cm to 200 cm. With the rear pegs, seat pad and child safety fence accessories, it's set up to carry a passenger or children safely.
Is it available on the Bike to Work scheme?
Yes — the Fiido T2 is eligible under the Bike to Work scheme. We typically dispatch within 1–2 working days, with delivery across Ireland in around 2–3 working days, or collect in-store in Dublin.
What warranty and servicing do you offer?
The T2 comes with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, and our Dublin workshop can service and repair it locally.
