FAQ about the Eahora Romeo II
Is the Eahora Romeo II road-legal in Ireland?
The Romeo II is speed-limited to 25 km/h, matching the EU pedelec (EPAC) speed cap. Because it uses two 250W motors for a 500W combined output, its total power is above the 250W figure in the strict single-motor pedelec definition. For fully rule-compliant road use, select a single-motor mode (front-only or rear-only, 250W) and ride in pedal-assist — dual-motor and throttle use are best kept for private land and trails. If you are unsure how the rules apply to you, we are happy to talk it through before you buy.
What is the real-world range?
Eahora rates the Romeo II at 173–193 km on pedal assist and 125–144 km on throttle from its 52V 60Ah (3120Wh) battery. Real range depends on rider weight, terrain, assist level, tyre pressure and temperature — expect the higher figures on flatter routes in lower assist, and less in hilly or cold conditions or on throttle only.
How long does it take to charge?
A full charge takes roughly 6–7.5 hours with the included 58.8V 7A quick charger. The battery is rated for at least 1200 charge cycles to 80% capacity, so it holds up well over years of regular use.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. The Romeo II carries an IPX6 weatherproof rating, so it handles Irish rain and wet roads. As with any e-bike, avoid fully submerging it or jet-washing the electronics, and store it somewhere dry.
How heavy is it and does it fold?
The Romeo II weighs 64.9 kg including its 13.6 kg battery and does not fold. The battery is removable via the keyed lock, which makes it easier to carry indoors for charging and lightens the frame for lifting or transport.
What rider height does it suit?
It is designed for riders roughly 165–188 cm tall with an inseam of 68.8 cm or more. If you are near the edges of that range, get in touch and we will advise on fit before you order.
How long is delivery across Ireland and the EU?
We deliver across Ireland and the EU, with Irish orders typically arriving within a few working days when in stock. If an item is on backorder we will confirm the expected timeframe by email. Contact Inner City Scooters for a current estimate for your address.
What warranty and payment options are available?
The Romeo II comes with a 1-year warranty. We offer instalment payment options at checkout, and our Dublin-based team can help with servicing, spares and support. Reach out any time if you have a question about your bike.
