Is the Fiido T2 road-legal in Ireland?
Yes. The T2 we sell is the EU-spec model: a 250 W motor, assistance that cuts off at 25 km/h and a throttle limited to 6 km/h walk-assist. That meets the EU pedelec (EPAC) standard, so in Ireland it is treated as a normal bicycle, with no tax, insurance or licence needed.
How much can the Fiido T2 carry?
The T2 has a 200 kg total payload and a longtail rear deck designed for passengers, kids, pets and cargo. With accessories like rear pegs, a front basket, a child safety fence and a seat cushion, you can build it around exactly what you need to carry.
How far can it go on one charge?
Up to 110 km from the removable 48V 20Ah battery in ideal conditions, with a realistic everyday range of around 70–80 km. Range varies with load, terrain, wind, assist level and rider weight, and a heavily loaded cargo bike will naturally use more power.
Is 250W enough for a cargo bike with kids on the back?
Yes for normal Dublin riding. The Mivice torque sensor adds assistance in proportion to how hard you pedal, and the Shimano 7-speed gears help on climbs. On steep hills with a full load, drop a gear and use a higher assist level.
How long does it take to charge, and is the battery removable?
About 6–7 hours for a full charge. The battery is removable and lockable, so you can slide it out to charge indoors and lock it for security.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. The T2 has an IP54 rating and integrated lights, so it handles Irish rain and dark commutes. Avoid deep water, and dry the bike after very wet rides.
Will it fit me, and is it hard to handle?
The step-through frame suits riders from roughly 155 cm to 200 cm and makes mounting easy even when loaded. The bike itself weighs about 39 kg, and the dual-leg kickstand keeps it stable while you load up.
Is it available on the Bike to Work scheme?
Yes, the Fiido T2 is eligible under the Bike to Work scheme. Apply online and we deliver across Ireland (typically within a week), or collect in-store in Dublin.
What warranty and servicing do you offer?
