FAQ about the Fiido Air Electric Bike
Is the Fiido Air road-legal in Ireland?
Yes. The Air is a 250 W pedal-assist (pedelec) e-bike with assistance cutting off at 25 km/h and no throttle, meeting the EU EPAC standard — so in Ireland it's treated like a normal bicycle, with no tax, insurance or licence required.
How light is it really?
Just 13.75 kg, thanks to its full carbon-fibre frame and fork — one of the lightest e-bikes available, and genuinely easy to carry up stairs or lift onto a rack.
How far can it go on one charge?
Up to 80 km from the integrated 208.8 Wh battery, with around 60 km more typical in real-world riding. It's best suited to shorter city trips; an optional range-extender battery is available for longer days.
How long does it take to charge?
Roughly 3–4 hours with the supplied 36V 2A charger.
What is the GATES carbon belt drive?
Instead of a greasy chain, the Air uses a single-speed GATES carbon belt — silent, clean, rust-free and virtually maintenance-free, perfect for daily commuting.
How does the fingerprint unlock and display work?
The Air powers on with your fingerprint for keyless security, and pairs with the Fiido Watch smartwatch to show real-time ride stats on your wrist.
Is it available on the Bike to Work scheme?
Yes — the Fiido Air is eligible under the Bike to Work scheme. We deliver across Ireland (typically 2–3 working days) or you can collect in-store in Dublin.
What warranty and servicing do you offer?
The Air comes with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, and our Dublin workshop can service and repair it locally.
