Engwe M20 (26Ah) Fat-Tyre Electric Bike
The Engwe M20 is a head-turning, moped-style fat-tyre electric bike built for adventure and comfort. In its road-legal pedal-assist (pedelec) mode it assists up to 25 km/h, while the long-range 48V 26Ah dual-battery system delivers a range of up to 150 km (75 + 75 km). With 20″ × 4.0″ three-layer fat tyres, dual suspension (front hydraulic fork + rear air shock), front & rear disc brakes and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, this Green M20 is as capable as it is comfortable — and it's Bike-to-Work scheme eligible. Available in-store and online from Inner City Scooters in Dublin, Ireland.
No Range Anxiety
Dual Batteries, Up to 150 km
Two removable 48V batteries give the M20 a combined 48V 26Ah capacity and a range of up to 150 km (75 + 75 km) in pedal-assist — around 200% further than a typical single-battery e-bike. Charge the batteries on or off the bike.
Comfort in Every Mile
A dual-suspension system — front hydraulic fork plus rear air shock — delivers roughly twice the shock absorbance of a standard e-bike for a smooth, fatigue-free ride.
Effortless Riding on Any Terrain
20″ × 4.0″ three-layer fat tyres — imported rubber, carbon-nano braiding and a butyl inner tube — combine with disc brakes for grip, stability and control in any conditions.
Triple-Layer Fat Tyres
20″ × 4.0″ fat tyres with three-layer construction stay smooth and stable on roads, gravel, sand and trails.
Reliable Dual Disc Brakes
160 mm front & rear disc brakes with fast heat dissipation give safe, confident stopping in every situation.
Shimano 7-Speed Gears
A Shimano derailleur and premium drivetrain deliver precise, reliable shifting across varied terrain.
Lightweight Alloy Frame
A 6061 aluminium-alloy frame is around 40% lighter than high-carbon steel, for an easier, more agile ride.
Lighting & Display
Safety Meets Illumination
High-brightness LED headlights light the path ahead and keep you visible on darker Irish evenings, with a rear brake light for traffic behind.
Real-Time LCD Display
A bright LCD shows speed, battery level, mileage and assist mode at a glance, with excellent visibility even in direct sunlight.

FAQ about the Engwe M20
Is the Engwe M20 available on the Bike-to-Work scheme?
Yes. The Engwe M20 is eligible for Ireland's Cycle to Work / Bike-to-Work scheme, letting you save on the cost through your employer (tax-free, repaid from gross salary). Just ask your employer to set up the purchase with us — we'll provide the invoice you need.
Is the Engwe M20 road-legal in Ireland?
Ridden in pedal-assist (pedelec) mode with assistance cutting off at 25 km/h, the M20 is treated like a bicycle in Ireland — no tax, insurance or licence required — and it is Bike-to-Work eligible. We recommend using pedal-assist on public roads; throttle-only riding and any higher-speed (unlocked) mode are best kept to private land. Always wear a helmet and check current local regulations.
What is the real-world range?
With its dual 48V batteries the M20 is rated up to 150 km (75 + 75 km) in pedal-assist. In real-world Irish riding — hills, rider weight, weather and assist level — expect roughly 90–120 km combined, or about 45–60 km per battery.
How long does it take to charge?
Each battery takes about 5 hours to charge from empty. The batteries are removable, so you can charge them indoors or at your desk.
Can I ride it in the rain?
The M20 carries an IP54 rating, so it handles light rain and splashes. It is not designed to be submerged or ridden through deep water — dry it down after wet rides.
How big is it and who does it suit?
The M20 is a substantial moped-style fat bike (about 170 cm long, ~40 kg with both batteries) supporting riders up to 150 kg. It is not foldable. Pop into our Dublin store for a look and a fitting.
How long is the delivery time?
We typically dispatch within 1–2 working days, with delivery across Ireland usually arriving in around 2–3 working days. You can also collect in-store in Dublin.
What warranty is available, and can you service it in Dublin?
The M20 comes with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, and instalment / pay-later options are available at checkout. Our Dublin workshop services and repairs the Engwe M20 and stocks common spare parts.
