Revvi 18″ Kids’ Electric Bike — Ages 8+

The Revvi 18″ electric bike is the step from learning to riding properly — full suspension, hydraulic disc brakes and a chainless hub motor in a package light enough for an eight-year-old to handle. A 36V 500W brushless hub motor and a removable 36V 5Ah battery drive three parent-selectable speed settings of 9.5, 13.5 and 19 mph, with up to 1 hour 20 minutes of riding in slow mode. Spoked 18″ wheels on aggressive knobbly tyres and an aluminium alloy frame with an MX-style swingarm make it a proper off-road machine. In stock now at Inner City Scooters, Ballymount, Dublin 24 — with delivery across Ireland.

Where Revvi riders start going properly off-road

The 18″ is the first Revvi with the full off-road package: suspension forks with 80 mm of travel, a 140 psi rear air shock, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear and spoked 18″ wheels. The 500W brushless hub motor sits in the rear wheel, so there is no chain or sprockets to tension, clean or replace — just quiet, instant drive.

Three speed settings let a parent hold the bike at 9.5 mph while a rider finds their feet, then open it up to 13.5 and eventually 19 mph. At 20 kg with a 50 kg rider limit it suits riders from about eight years up. Inner City Scooters stocks the Revvi range and Revvi spares at our Ballymount showroom in Dublin 24, so servicing, tyres and chargers are all local.

Key features of the Revvi 18″

Three speed settings

9.5 mph (slow), 13.5 mph (medium) and 19 mph (fast) — roughly 15, 22 and 31 km/h. Set the limit to match the rider and raise it as they progress.

500W brushless hub motor

A 36V 500W motor built into the rear wheel — instant torque, near-silent running and no chain or sprockets to maintain.

Front and rear suspension

Suspension forks with 80 mm of travel up front and a 140 psi air shock with 30 mm of travel at the rear — real control over jumps, ruts and rough ground.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Hydraulic discs front and rear with adjustable levers for smaller hands — consistent, progressive braking in the wet and the dry.

Removable 36V 5Ah battery

Swap the battery in seconds for non-stop riding, or lift it out to charge indoors. A full charge takes about 1 hour 50 minutes.

18″ spoked wheels

Metal spoked 18″ rims on aggressive knobbly tyres roll over obstacles, hold a line in mud and can be trued and rebuilt rather than replaced.

Revvi on video

Revvi has not released a model-specific film for the 18″ yet. In the meantime, these two official Revvi clips cover the removable battery system used across the range and how Revvi bikes are built.

Maximum permitted rider weight is 50 kg. If your child is not quite there yet, the Revvi 16″ Plus and Revvi 16″ XL are the steps below; the Revvi 20″ is the step above. Call in to our Dublin 24 showroom and we will size your rider before you buy.

Where to ride: the Revvi 18″ reaches 19 mph (about 31 km/h) and is an off-road machine for private land with the owner’s permission. It is not legal on Irish public roads, footpaths or cycle lanes, and is not a pedelec. Riders must be supervised by an adult and should wear a helmet, gloves and suitable protective gear. Start in the 9.5 mph mode until the rider is fully confident.

FAQ about the Revvi 18″ Kids’ Electric Bike

What age is the Revvi 18″ suitable for?

Revvi rates the 18″ for riders aged roughly 8 and up, though fit depends on height and confidence rather than birthday. The seat adjusts between 66 cm and 84 cm and the maximum permitted rider weight is 50 kg. Our Dublin team can size your rider in the showroom before you buy.

Can it be ridden on the road in Ireland?

No. At 19 mph (about 31 km/h) with a throttle and no pedals, the Revvi 18″ is not a pedelec and is not legal on Irish public roads, footpaths or cycle lanes. It is for off-road use on private land with the owner’s permission, with adult supervision, a helmet and protective gear.

How fast does it go, and can I limit the speed?

It has three speed settings — 9.5 mph (slow), 13.5 mph (medium) and 19 mph (fast), roughly 15, 22 and 31 km/h. Parents can hold the bike at the lower settings and raise the limit as the rider’s skill grows. We recommend starting in slow mode.

How long does it run, and how long does it take to charge?

Roughly 1 hour 20 minutes in slow mode, about 45 minutes in medium and around 25 minutes in fast mode, depending on rider weight, terrain and how hard it is ridden. A full charge of the removable 36V 5Ah battery takes about 1 hour 50 minutes.

What suspension and brakes does it have?

Suspension forks with 80 mm of travel at the front and a 140 psi air shock with 30 mm of travel at the rear, plus hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with adjustable levers for smaller hands.

Does it have a chain, and how much maintenance does it need?

No chain — the 500W brushless motor is built into the rear hub, so there are no sprockets or chain to tension, clean or replace. Normal care is tyre pressures, brake pads, keeping the battery charged and an occasional bolt check.

Can it be ridden in the rain or in mud?

There is no published IP rating, so treat it as shower- and splash-resistant rather than waterproof. Damp grass, mud and puddles are fine; avoid deep water and never jet wash it. Dry it off after a wet session and keep the battery contacts clean.

Does it need assembly?

The Revvi 18″ arrives largely assembled with only minor setup before the first ride. Our Dublin workshop can build it, charge it and check it over so it is ready to ride — just ask when ordering.

What warranty and after-sales support do you get?

The Revvi 18″ carries Revvi’s 6-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects. Inner City Scooters stocks Revvi in Ireland, so servicing, tyres, throttles and other Revvi spares are available from our Dublin 24 workshop.

Do you deliver across Ireland, and can I pay in instalments?

Yes — we ship nationwide across Ireland, usually within a few working days, and you are welcome to collect in Ballymount, Dublin 24. You can spread the cost at checkout with finance options such as Klarna and humm, subject to approval.
