The Revvi 16" XL Electric Bike is a bigger, more powerful step up in the Revvi balance-bike range, built for confident young riders aged 6 years and over. A 24V 600W brushless hub motor and a 24V 5.0Ah lithium-ion battery (recharging in around 2 hours 50 minutes) deliver real performance, with three speed modes — 15, 22 and 28km/h so parents can match the pace to the child's ability and unlock more as their confidence grows.

Front and rear suspension, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes and 16" aggressive knobbly tyres give grippy, controlled off-road riding, all on a lightweight aluminium-alloy frame weighing just 17.4kg. Please note: with a 600W motor and a 28km/h top speed, this is an off-road / private-land machine only and is not road legal in Ireland or the EU. Order yours today with Inner City Scooters Ireland — delivering across Ireland and the EU.

Revvi 16″ XL Kids’ Electric Bike — Ages 6+

The Revvi 16″ XL takes the familiar 16″ wheel size and gives it a taller frame, a much stronger motor and proper brakes. A 24V 600W brushless hub motor and a 24V 5Ah lithium battery drive three parent-selectable speed settings of 9.3, 13.5 and 17.5 mph, with up to 1 hour 10 minutes of riding in slow mode. Front suspension forks, a coil rear shock, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear and spoked 16″ wheels on aggressive knobbly tyres make it the natural step up for a rider who has outgrown the standard 16″. In stock now at Inner City Scooters, Ballymount, Dublin 24 — with delivery across Ireland.

The 16″ grown up

The XL keeps the 16″ wheel that riders already know but adds a taller frame, a 600W brushless hub motor in place of the standard bike’s 250W, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, suspension forks and a coil rear shock. The result is a bike that can be ridden hard off-road while still being small and light enough — 17.4 kg — for a six or seven-year-old to manage.

Because the motor is built into the rear hub there is no chain or sprockets to tension, clean or replace. Three speed settings let a parent hold the bike at 9.3 mph while a rider builds skill, then open it up to 13.5 and eventually 17.5 mph. Inner City Scooters stocks the Revvi range and Revvi spares at our Ballymount showroom in Dublin 24, so servicing, tyres and chargers are all local.

Key features of the Revvi 16″ XL

600W brushless hub motor

A 24V 600W motor built into the rear wheel — a big jump over the standard 16″, with instant torque, near-silent running and nothing to maintain.

Three speed settings

9.3 mph (slow), 13.5 mph (medium) and 17.5 mph (fast) — roughly 15, 22 and 28 km/h. Set the limit to match the rider and raise it as they progress.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Hydraulic discs front and rear — a real safety upgrade over a single rear brake, with consistent, progressive feel in the wet and the dry.

Front and rear suspension

Suspension forks at the front and a coil shock at the rear take the sting out of rough ground and small jumps.

16″ spoked wheels

Metal spoked 16″ rims on aggressive knobbly pneumatic tyres — grippy on grass, dirt and gravel, and rebuildable rather than disposable.

Number & name board kit

Every bike includes a race number and name board kit — board, cover graphic, letter and number sheets and fixing bolt — so young riders can personalise their Revvi.

How Revvi bikes are made

Size, fit and dimensions

The Revvi 16″ XL is aimed at riders from about 6 years and up. It measures 85 cm long and 76 cm tall, with 20.5 cm of ground clearance and a seat that adjusts between 62 cm and 79 cm. Maximum permitted rider weight is 50 kg. If it is a size too big, the Revvi 16″ Plus and Revvi 16″ are the steps below; the Revvi 18″ is the step above. Call in to our Dublin 24 showroom and we will size your rider before you buy.

Where to ride: the Revvi 16″ XL reaches 17.5 mph (about 28 km/h) and is an off-road machine for private land with the owner’s permission. It is not legal on Irish public roads, footpaths or cycle lanes, and is not a pedelec. Riders must be supervised by an adult and should wear a helmet and suitable protective gear. Start in the 9.3 mph mode until the rider is fully confident.

FAQ about the Revvi 16″ XL Kids’ Electric Bike

What age is the Revvi 16″ XL suitable for?

Revvi rates the 16″ XL for riders aged roughly 6 and up, though fit depends on height and confidence rather than birthday. The seat adjusts between 62 cm and 79 cm and the maximum permitted rider weight is 50 kg. Our Dublin team can size your rider in the showroom before you buy.

How is the XL different from the standard Revvi 16″?

The XL has a taller frame, a much stronger 600W brushless hub motor instead of the standard bike’s 250W chain drive, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear instead of a rear drum, front and rear suspension, and spoked rather than composite rims. It is 17.4 kg versus 11 kg.

Can it be ridden on the road in Ireland?

No. At 17.5 mph (about 28 km/h) with a throttle and no pedals, the Revvi 16″ XL is not a pedelec and is not legal on Irish public roads, footpaths or cycle lanes. It is for off-road use on private land with the owner’s permission, with adult supervision, a helmet and protective gear.

How fast does it go, and can I limit the speed?

It has three speed settings — 9.3 mph (slow), 13.5 mph (medium) and 17.5 mph (fast), roughly 15, 22 and 28 km/h. Parents can hold the bike at the lower settings and raise the limit as the rider’s skill grows.

How long does it run, and how long does it take to charge?

Roughly 1 hour 10 minutes in slow mode, about 45 minutes in medium and around 35 minutes in fast mode, depending on rider weight, terrain and how hard it is ridden. A full charge of the 24V 5Ah battery takes about 2 hours 50 minutes.

Does it have a chain, and how much maintenance does it need?

No chain — the 600W brushless motor is built into the rear hub, so there are no sprockets or chain to tension, clean or replace. Normal care is tyre pressures, brake pads, keeping the battery charged and an occasional bolt check.

Can it be ridden in the rain or in mud?

There is no published IP rating, so treat it as shower- and splash-resistant rather than waterproof. Damp grass, mud and puddles are fine; avoid deep water and never jet wash it. Dry it off after a wet session and keep the battery contacts clean.

Does it need assembly?

The Revvi 16″ XL arrives largely assembled with only minor setup before the first ride. Our Dublin workshop can build it, charge it and check it over so it is ready to ride — just ask when ordering.

What warranty and after-sales support do you get?

The Revvi 16″ XL carries Revvi’s 6-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects. Inner City Scooters stocks Revvi in Ireland, so servicing, tyres and other Revvi spares are available from our Dublin 24 workshop.

Do you deliver across Ireland, and can I pay in instalments?

Yes — we ship nationwide across Ireland, usually within a few working days, and you are welcome to collect in Ballymount, Dublin 24. You can spread the cost at checkout with finance options such as Klarna and humm, subject to approval.
