If you're looking for an electric scooter in Ireland right now, the choice has genuinely never been better — or more confusing. We've narrowed it down to the six models we'd actually recommend to someone walking through our door in Ballymount. Everything from a dead-simple road-legal commuter for the morning cycle in, to an absolute beast of a machine for private land use at the weekend.
One thing worth knowing up front: Irish law since 2024 means only scooters with a motor rated at 400 W or under can be used at full throttle on public roads, and the speed limit is 20 km/h. Only one scooter on this list meets that bar. The rest are more powerful and are class for private estates, farmland and off-road use — just not for full-power riding on public roads. We've been straight about it for each model below.
Here's the line-up at a glance:
- Aovo Pro AP07 — Best for road-legal city commuting (€399)
- KuKirin G2 — Best all-round value (€529)
- KuKirin G2 Master 2025 — Best dual-motor step-up (€819)
- iENYRID ES60 — Best mid-range powerhouse (€999)
- KuKirin G4 Max — Best for the serious enthusiast (€1,999)
- Rovoron R7 — 🆕 New arrival June 2026: Minimotors performance, from €1,099

Aovo Pro AP07 — Best for Road-Legal City Commuting | €399
If you just want to hop on and ride to work without a second thought, the Aovo Pro AP07 is your one. It's the only scooter on this list that's properly road-legal without any asterisks — 350 W motor, 25 km/h top speed, and at about 16 kg it's light enough to fold up and bring onto public transport or tuck under your desk when you get in. No drama.
The range is 30 to 35 km in real-world use, which covers most commutes around Dublin without any bother. The solid tyres are a big deal for city riding — no punctures, ever. Turn signals, front and rear suspension, an LCD display, Bluetooth app connectivity — it's properly well-kitted out for €399. If you're new to scooters and just want something reliable that you can actually ride on the road, start here. Grand little machine.
KuKirin G2 — Best All-Round Value | €529
The KuKirin G2 has been our most consistent seller for a good while now, and it's not hard to see why. €529, 800 W motor, up to 45 km/h, 55 km of real-world range — it's a lot of scooter for the money. Touchscreen display, dual disc brakes, four-arm suspension, 10" tubeless tyres. It's solid out of the box and it stays solid.
Worth being straight with you though: the G2 is over the 400 W public road limit, so full throttle on the road isn't on. Stick it in the 25 km/h mode for the road and save the fun for private land. If you've access to a bit of an estate, a private road or somewhere you can open it up properly, this thing is brilliant. We've a good few of these in stock right now and they move steadily — always a decent sign.
KuKirin G2 Master 2025 — Best Dual-Motor Step-Up | €819
The jump from single motor to dual is a bigger deal than you might think. The G2 Master 2025 runs twin 1,000 W motors — 2,000 W combined — and you feel it straight away. Hits 60 km/h, handles hills that would slow the base G2 down, and gives you 60 to 70 km of range from the 52V 20.8Ah battery. At 34 kg it's on the heavier side, but it feels planted and confident for it.
If you've had a single-motor scooter and you're wondering what the step up feels like — this is your answer. It's a noticeable difference, especially on rough ground and on any kind of incline. Same story on public roads as the G2 — 25 km/h mode on the road, full power kept for private land. At €819, it's a fair price for what you're getting.
iENYRID ES60 — Best Mid-Range Powerhouse | €999
The iENYRID ES60 doesn't get as much attention as the KuKirin models but honestly it should. Dual 1,200 W motors, 2,400 W combined, 60 km/h, 60 to 70 km range from a 48V 23Ah battery — for €999 that's a serious spec sheet. It's 40 kg, so it's not one you're lugging up a flight of stairs every evening, but as a dedicated private land or off-road machine it's genuinely hard to beat at this price.
The suspension and pneumatic tyres handle rough ground properly well. If you've outgrown the entry-level stuff and want something with real performance behind it without having to spend €1,500 or more, the ES60 is the one we'd be pointing you towards. Private land only at full power — same as anything over 400 W — but in the right environment it's class.
KuKirin G4 Max — Best for the Serious Enthusiast | €1,999
There's no soft way to say it — the G4 Max is a beast. Twin 1,600 W motors, 3,200 W combined. 86 km/h top speed. Up to 95 km range from a 60V 35Ah removable battery — and yes, you can take the battery out and charge it indoors separately, which is dead handy if your storage isn't near a socket. Full hydraulic suspension and brakes, 12" off-road tyres, IP54 water resistance, dual fast-charge ports. 64 kg of serious machine.
This is firmly private-land territory. If you've farmland, a big estate, access to a motocross facility, or just somewhere you can really let it go — you'll love every minute of it. €1,999 is a serious chunk of money, no question. But the G4 Max earns it.
Rovoron R7 — New Arrival, June 2026 🆕
This one only landed with us this June and we're genuinely excited about it. The Rovoron R7 comes from ROVORON — a brand set up by Minimotors, the same crowd behind Dualtron. The whole idea is to take that Minimotors engineering pedigree and bring it to a price that doesn't require a second mortgage.
Two versions: the LITE (60V 28.6Ah battery, up to 75 km range, from €1,099) and the PRO (60V 42.4Ah Samsung cells, up to 110 km range, from €1,499). Both run twin 900 W motors — 1,800 W combined — and hit 65 km/h on private terrain. What sets the R7 apart from most things at this price is the tubular welded frame. It feels noticeably more solid and less flexy than the flat-deck designs you usually see — proper torsional rigidity, and you feel it when you're riding. Front and rear suspension, 90/65-6.5 tubeless tyres, dual charging ports, and a full lighting kit including a built-in smoke detector.
It's only just in the door, so if you want one of the first units in the country, now's the time. Call in or order online.
