Sur-Ron Ultra Bee 2026 — 24.5kW Road Legal Electric Motorbike
The Sur-Ron Ultra Bee 2026 24.5kW is the most powerful road legal electric motorbike Sur-Ron has built. A second-generation HairPin BLDC motor delivers 24500W peak power and 511Nm of wheel torque for a top speed of 95km/h, while a removable 74V 60Ah (4440Wh) battery returns up to 115km of range. It is L3e homologated, so it can be registered, taxed, insured and ridden legally on public roads. Available now from Inner City Scooters, Ballymount, Dublin, Ireland — delivering across Ireland and the EU.
Road legal power, without compromise
The Ultra Bee 2026 is not a detuned road version. The L3e homologated model runs the same 24500W peak second-generation HairPin motor as the off-road bike, paired with Sur-Ron's in-house MTPA/MTPV field-oriented controller. Peak torque at the wheel is 511Nm, power stays flat across the working rev range, and 0–50km/h takes around 2 seconds. Top speed is 95km/h. What the road version adds is the equipment that makes it legal and usable every day — full LED lighting, indicators, mirrors, horn, number plate mounting and a road-focused tyre package.
Road legal equipment — what you get
The L3e specification adds everything required for type approval and daily road use, without changing the powertrain.
24500W peak, 511Nm
A second-generation HairPin-winding permanent magnet synchronous motor with MTPA/MTPV field-oriented control delivers 24500W in Turbo and 21500W in Sport, with 511Nm at the wheel and a 95km/h top speed.
74V 60Ah removable battery
The 4440Wh lithium-ion pack lifts out of the frame so you can charge it indoors. Up to 115km at a steady 50km/h, 20–80% in about 2.5 hours on the supplied 1000W smart charger, and roughly 1500 charge cycles of service life.
Five riding modes
Eco, Daily, Sport, Turbo and Reverse, plus a three-level adjustable throttle curve. Eco stretches range for the commute; Turbo unlocks the full 24500W when you want it.
SRTC traction control
Three selectable levels of Sur-Ron Traction Control manage rear wheel slip on wet tarmac, gravel and loose ground, switchable on the move. Five-level coasting regen and five-level braking regen let you dial in engine braking.
Fully adjustable suspension
Custom-tuned inverted forks in gold-anodised 7-series aluminium with independent compression and rebound adjustment give 240mm of travel, backed by the INTERSECT TR multi-link rear air shock.
Hydraulic discs, 90% stiffer
Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes with 90% higher caliper rigidity than the previous generation, tuned for a light, linear lever feel and confident one-finger control.
Sur-Ron app connectivity
Bluetooth pairing with the Sur-Ron app for Android and iOS gives mode settings, ride history, battery status, location-based anti-theft, electronic motor lock and over-the-air firmware updates.
Carbon fibre belt drive
The primary drive uses a carbon-fibre-core belt with a tungsten-carbide-coated pulley for near-silent running and long service life, with a secondary chain to the rear wheel.

FAQ about the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee 2026 24.5kW (Road Legal)
Is the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee 2026 road legal in Ireland?
Yes. This is the L3e homologated version, which is the 125cc-equivalent motorcycle category, and it is supplied with an EU Certificate of Conformity. To ride it on Irish public roads you must register it with Revenue and pay VRT, tax it, insure it and display a number plate. It comes fitted from the factory with LED lights, indicators, mirrors, a horn and a number plate holder.
What licence do I need to ride it in Ireland?
Because it is homologated as L3e (125cc equivalent), you need a category A1 learner permit or full A1 licence. An A2 or full A licence also covers it. You must wear a helmet, and learner permit holders must display L plates and follow the usual learner restrictions. We are happy to talk you through the registration process when you buy.
How powerful is it, and how fast does it go?
The second-generation HairPin motor produces 24500W of peak power in Turbo mode and 21500W in Sport, with 511Nm of torque at the wheel. Top speed is 95km/h and 0–50km/h takes around 2 seconds. Eco and Daily modes reduce output for range and easier control in traffic.
What range and charging time can I expect?
The 74V 60Ah (4440Wh) battery gives up to 115km at a steady 50km/h, and up to 140km in Eco mode. Ridden hard in Sport or Turbo, expect 50–80km. Charging from 20% to 80% takes about 2.5 hours on the supplied 1000W smart charger, with a full charge around 4.5 hours. The pack is removable so you can charge it indoors.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. The Ultra Bee is rated IP67, so rain and wet Irish roads are not a problem. Avoid pressure washing directly at the motor, battery contacts or electrical connectors, and dry the bike down after wet rides to protect the chain and fasteners.
What suspension and brakes does it have?
Custom-tuned inverted forks with gold-anodised 7-series aluminium outer tubes give 240mm of travel with independently adjustable compression and rebound. The rear uses Sur-Ron's INTERSECT TR multi-link system with a fully adjustable air shock. Braking is hydraulic disc front and rear, with 90% stiffer calipers than the previous generation.
Who does it suit, and what is the seat height?
Seat height is 850mm and kerb weight is 95kg, with a maximum load of 150kg. It suits riders of roughly 1.70m and above. It is a genuinely fast machine, so newer riders should build up through Eco and Daily modes and always wear full protective gear.
