There's a certain kind of week in Dublin where the sun actually stays out, the canal paths fill up, and half the city seems to be looking for a better way to get to work than sitting in traffic. Summer 2026 has been exactly that, and it's shown in what's been heading out our door at Inner City Scooters.
So rather than tell you what we think you should buy, we thought we'd show you what's genuinely selling. Below are seven of our best-selling electric bikes right now, and instead of ranking them one to seven, we've matched each one to the kind of rider it suits best. Whether you're after a featherweight folder for the bus-and-bike commute or a long-range fat-tyre machine for weekend spins, there's a grand fit here somewhere.

Best on a budget: Fiido D3 Pro Mini
If you're dipping a toe into the world of e-bikes and don't want to spend a fortune doing it, the Fiido D3 Pro Mini is where most people start — and plenty of them never feel the need to upgrade. At just 17.3 kg with a 6061 aluminium frame, it's light enough to carry up a flight of stairs and small enough on its 14-inch wheels to fold away in seconds and tuck under a desk or in the boot of the car.
The 250 W geared motor gives smooth, near-silent assistance up to 25 km/h, and the removable 36 V 7.8 Ah battery will stretch to around 79 km in pedal-assist on a flatter run — more than enough for the daily commute and back. For €579 it's a doddle to live with, and a genuinely handy first e-bike.
Best for city & gravel: Fiido C21
Some riders want one bike that does the lot — the Monday-to-Friday commute and a longer spin out the coast at the weekend. That's exactly what the Fiido C21 is built for. It pairs a clean, sporty 700C aluminium frame with a 250 W Mivice motor and, crucially, a torque sensor — so the power comes on in proportion to how hard you're pedalling, giving a lovely natural ride rather than an on-off lurch.
At around 17.5 kg it stays light and easy to handle, with hydraulic disc brakes, a 9-speed drivetrain and 700C tyres that'll happily take a gravel path in their stride. Fiido quote up to 100 km of range in eco mode, and it's a proper road-legal pedelec at €975. A lovely all-weather, all-surfaces option.
Best step-through comfort: Pixar C1 Pro
Now for one close to our heart. Inner City Scooters is the official and only Pixar stockist in Ireland — so every Pixar that leaves us is a genuine bike with a real warranty and proper Dublin servicing behind it, not a grey import. The Pixar C1 Pro is the one we point a lot of riders towards when comfort and an easy life are the priority.
Big 28-inch wheels and a front suspension fork make for a smooth, planted ride over Dublin's less-than-perfect roads, and the high-capacity 36 V 18 Ah battery is good for a real-world 55–65 km. Add hydraulic disc brakes, a Shimano 7-speed setup, lights, mudguards, a rack and a basket as standard, and you've a complete, ready-to-commute package for €949. It's a 250 W pedelec, road-legal in pedal-assist (the throttle comes as a separate accessory for private land).
Best for character & all-day range: Pixar M9
If the C1 Pro is the sensible one, the Pixar M9 is the one that turns heads on the street. It's a retro-styled, moped-look fat-tyre bike with genuine substance underneath: a dual-battery system (two 48 V 17.5 Ah packs) that Pixar rate for up to 130 km, so most folks are charging once a week rather than every night.
You get full dual suspension, chunky 20 × 4-inch Kenda fat tyres, hydraulic disc brakes and a few clever touches like NFC tap-to-unlock and turn-signal indicators. It runs a 250 W motor that assists to 25 km/h, so it's road-legal as a pedelec, but it is a big, capable machine at nearly 50 kg — call in to us for a sit-on before you buy, and we'll make sure it's the right fit. Yours for €1,049, and again, only genuine from Ireland's official Pixar stockist.
Best for long-range adventures: Engwe M20 26Ah
For the riders who treat range like a sport, the Engwe M20 26Ah is hard to beat. Its twin 48 V batteries combine for a whopping 26 Ah and a quoted range of up to 150 km — in the real world, on Irish hills and weather, think more like a very healthy 90–120 km, which is still a serious distance between charges.
It's a moped-style fat bike with dual suspension, 20 × 4-inch tyres, a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and a 150 kg max load, so it shrugs off rough ground and heavier riders alike. This is one of our more powerful models — it has a 250 W rated motor that peaks higher — so the rule of thumb is simple: ride it in its road-legal pedal-assist setting (25 km/h) on public roads, and save any full-power, higher-speed mode for private land. Not sure what that means for you? No bother — just ask the team. Priced at €1,399, and it's Bike to Work eligible.
Best full-suspension folder: Engwe Engine Pro 2.0
The Engwe Engine Pro 2.0 is the bike for people who refuse to choose between comfort, capability and storage. It folds — frame, bars and pedals — down small enough for a hallway or a car boot, yet it rides like a full-size adventure bike thanks to true full suspension (front fork plus rear shock) and grippy 20 × 4-inch fat tyres.
A 75 Nm motor and Shimano Altus 8-speed gearing make light work of hills, while the 52 V 16 Ah (832 Wh) battery is rated for up to 110 km in pedal-assist. Like the M20, it's a powerful machine — 250 W rated but capable of more when unlocked — so keep it in its road-legal pedal-assist setting on public roads and save full power for private land. At €1,499 it's our do-everything pick, and it's Bike to Work eligible too.
Best all-rounder: Fiido C11 Pro
If you want one bike that simply gets it right for everyday riding, the Fiido C11 Pro is the quiet favourite. It's a light (around 24.5 kg) step-through with a low, easy-entry frame that suits riders from roughly 155 cm to 195 cm — which makes it brilliant for couples or households sharing the one bike.
A 250 W motor with a Mivice torque sensor delivers that natural, smooth assistance up to 25 km/h, and the removable 499 Wh battery is good for up to 104 km in eco mode. Front suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, puncture-resistant 700C tyres and a one-key locking system round out a genuinely fuss-free commuter. A proper road-legal pedelec at €1,075 (its higher-power mode is for private land only).
A quick word on the law
The good news is that most of these bikes — the D3 Pro, C21, C1 Pro, M9 and C11 Pro — are genuine pedelecs: a 250 W motor with assistance that cuts off at 25 km/h. Under Irish and EU rules that means they're treated just like an ordinary bicycle, with no tax, insurance or licence required when ridden in pedal-assist.
A couple of our models — notably the Engwe M20 and Engine Pro 2.0 — are more powerful machines that can do more than the pedelec limit when unlocked. The simple, sensible approach is to ride them in their road-legal pedal-assist setting on public roads, and keep full power for private land. If you're ever unsure which setting you should be in, call in to us or drop us a message and we'll talk you through it honestly.
