OUXI V8 Ultra Max Electric Fat Bike

250 Watts • 25 km/h • 155 km Range

The OUXI V8 Ultra Max takes the retro moped-styled V8 Ultra platform and doubles the battery. Two removable 48V 15Ah lithium-ion packs give a combined 48V 30Ah and a manufacturer-rated range of up to 155km in pedal assist, which puts a full week of commuting inside a single charge cycle. The 250W brushless rear hub motor is EU-compliant at 25km/h, so it stays within pedelec rules while still pulling strongly away from junctions and up hills.

Where the Ultra Max separates itself is the hardware. Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear give lighter lever feel and far better modulation than cable discs, full suspension pairs a telescopic fork with twin rear shock absorbers, and 20"x4.0" fat tyres on spoked wheels soak up whatever the road surface is doing. A Shimano 7-speed drivetrain keeps the cadence right on steep climbs, and a multifunction colour display with NFC start handles power modes and security.

Practical details are all here: an LED headlight with integrated turn signals, a rear light, a front cargo rack, an adjustable handlebar, a long saddle with a rear passenger seat and footrests, and a 150kg maximum load. Rated IP45 for everyday Irish weather.

Order yours today with Inner City Scooters Ireland — delivering across Ireland and the EU.

Two batteries, one long week of riding

The headline change over the standard V8 Ultra is a second battery. Two removable 48V 15Ah lithium-ion packs give 48V 30Ah combined and a manufacturer-rated 155km of pedal-assist range. Both packs lift out and lock, so you can charge them indoors, run one on the commute and keep the second in reserve, or bring the spare on a long weekend run. Full charge takes roughly 6-7 hours.

Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear

Where the standard Ultra runs cable-operated discs, the Ultra Max steps up to hydraulic disc brakes at both ends. That means lighter lever effort, far better modulation and consistent bite in the wet, which matters on a 52kg bike carrying a passenger. Less hand fatigue on long descents too.

Full suspension over Irish road surfaces

A telescopic front suspension fork pairs with twin rear shock absorbers to take the sting out of potholes, kerbs and tram lines. Add 20"x4.0" fat tyres on 20" spoked wheels and broken city tarmac, canal towpaths, sand and loose gravel all stop being a reason to slow down.

Colour display with NFC start

A multifunction colour display handles speed, battery level, mileage and assist level, with NFC start so the bike only wakes for your tag. Combined with the lockable removable batteries, that is two layers of security on a bike that attracts attention.

Lighting and load, sorted from the factory

An LED headlight with integrated turn signals and a rear light cover dark winter evenings properly. A front cargo rack takes bags, tools or shopping, and the long bench saddle with rear passenger seat and footrests means a second rider or a load, within the 150kg maximum. An adjustable handlebar lets you set the reach to suit.

FAQ about the OUXI V8 Ultra Max

What is the difference between the V8 Ultra and the V8 Ultra Max?

The Max adds a second 48V 15Ah battery for 30Ah combined and a much longer range, upgrades the brakes from cable discs to hydraulic discs, adds a multifunction colour display with NFC start and a headlight with integrated turn signals, and runs spoked wheels. It is heavier as a result, 52kg against 37kg.

Is the OUXI V8 Ultra Max road legal in Ireland?

Yes, when ridden as a pedelec. The EU version has a 250W motor with assistance cutting off at 25km/h, which meets the EPAC standard, so it is treated as a bicycle in Ireland with no tax, insurance or licence needed. You must be pedalling for the motor to assist, and we recommend keeping to pedal-assist on public roads.

Will I really get 155km from a charge?

155km is the manufacturer figure for both batteries in low pedal assist under ideal conditions. In real Irish riding, expect noticeably less if you are carrying a passenger, riding into wind, using high assist, tackling hills or riding in cold weather. Even so, the dual pack comfortably covers a week of ordinary commuting between charges.

Can I charge both batteries at once?

Each pack charges in around 6-7 hours from the supplied charger. Both are removable, so you can bring them indoors and charge one after the other, or add a second charger to do both overnight. Ask us about a spare charger when ordering.

Can I ride it in the rain?

Yes. The V8 Ultra Max is rated IP45, which covers normal rain and road spray. Do not jet wash it or submerge it, dry the contacts if it has been soaked, and store the batteries somewhere dry.

How much does it weigh and can it carry a passenger?

The bike weighs 52kg, so it is not one to carry up stairs. The long bench saddle, rear passenger seat and footrests are designed for a second rider, within a 150kg total load including rider, passenger and any luggage.

How fast is delivery in Ireland and the EU?

We deliver nationwide across Ireland, usually within a few working days of dispatch, and ship across the EU. You can also collect from our showroom at Unit 19B, Fashion City, Ballymount Road Upper, Dublin 24.

What warranty and aftercare do I get?

The V8 Ultra Max carries a 1 year warranty on core components. We are an Irish shop with a physical premises, so servicing, spare parts and repairs are handled by our own workshop in Dublin rather than sent back overseas.
