OUXI V8 Ultra Electric Fat Bike
The OUXI V8 Ultra is a retro, moped-styled fat tyre electric bike built for Irish roads and Irish weather. With a 250W rear hub motor, a removable 48V 15Ah battery, 20"x4.0" Kenda fat tyres and a full Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, it turns the daily commute into something you actually look forward to. Available now from Inner City Scooters in Ballymount, Dublin, with delivery across Ireland and the EU.
Built around the numbers that matter
Every part of the V8 Ultra is specified for real commuting: enough torque to pull away from lights on a hill, enough battery to cover a week of short journeys, and enough tyre to ignore whatever the road surface is doing.
Cafe racer looks, everyday practicality
The high-tensile steel frame takes its cues from classic cafe racer motorcycles, finished with a long padded saddle and rear passenger pad. It is the kind of bike people stop to look at, but underneath it is still a straightforward pedal-assist e-bike you can park anywhere.
Dual suspension for Irish road surfaces
A front suspension fork and twin rear spring shocks soak up potholes, tram lines and kerbs, so broken city tarmac stops being a reason to slow down. Combined with the fat tyres, the ride stays composed on canal paths and gravel too.
20"x4.0" Kenda fat tyres
Wide, puncture-resistant Kenda all-terrain tyres give a big contact patch and real grip in wet weather, on sand, on mud and on loose ground. They also add a layer of cushioning on top of the suspension.
Shimano 7-speed, not just a throttle
A proper Shimano 7-speed transmission lets you pick the right cadence for a steep climb or a fast flat run, and keeps the bike usable and efficient even when the battery is low.
Go further on a single charge
The removable 48V 15Ah lithium-ion battery gives 50-65km of pedal-assist range and lifts out for charging indoors, which matters if you park in a shed or an apartment bike store. A dual-battery Max-T version is available if you need longer legs.

FAQ about the OUXI V8 Ultra
Is the OUXI V8 Ultra road legal in Ireland?
Yes, when ridden as a pedelec. The EU version has a 250W motor with assistance cutting off at 25km/h, which meets the EPAC standard, so it is treated as a bicycle in Ireland with no tax, insurance or licence needed. You must be pedalling for the motor to assist, and we recommend keeping to pedal-assist on public roads.
What range will I actually get?
OUXI rate the 48V 15Ah battery at 50-65km. In real Irish conditions expect the lower end of that if you are carrying a passenger, riding into wind, using high assist or riding in cold weather. Hilly routes will pull it down further. A dual-battery Max-T version is available if you need more.
How long does it take to charge?
Around 5-6 hours from empty with the supplied charger. The battery is removable, so you can lift it out and charge indoors rather than leaving the whole bike plugged in.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Yes. The V8 Ultra is rated IP45, which covers normal rain and road spray. Do not jet wash it or submerge it, dry the contacts if it has been soaked, and store the battery somewhere dry.
What height and weight does it suit?
The elongated saddle fits riders from roughly 160cm to 195cm, and the frame is rated to a 150kg maximum load including rider, passenger and any luggage. Seat height is 780mm.
How much assembly is needed?
The bike arrives 85% assembled. Typically the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, headlight and mudguard need fitting, and the tool kit and inflator are in the box. If you would rather not do it yourself, we can build it for you before collection at our Ballymount showroom.
How fast is delivery in Ireland and the EU?
We deliver nationwide across Ireland, usually within a few working days of dispatch, and ship across the EU. You can also collect from our showroom at Unit 19B, Fashion City, Ballymount Road Upper, Dublin 24.
What warranty and aftercare do I get?
The V8 Ultra carries a 1 year warranty on core components. We are an Irish shop with a physical premises, so servicing, spare parts and repairs are handled by our own workshop in Dublin rather than sent back overseas.
